Slammy Awards to return on RAW on December 9

WWE’s version of the Academy Awards are coming back next month as Seattle, Washington, will host the 2013 Slammy Awards on December 9.

A concept which started way back in 1986, the Slammy Awards will be having its 10th annual this year after WWE decided to only run four Slammy Awards between 1986 and 2008. Since 2008, the concept has been done every year on Monday Night RAW.

Last year WWE handed out 19 Slammy Awards although only a handful were given live on RAW. John Cena won the Superstar of the Year, AJ Lee won Diva of the Year, and Triple H vs The Undertaker at WM 28 won the Match of the Year in the top three categories.
