Six-man ladder match to determine new NXT champion

A new NXT champion will be crowned on the February 3 episode of NXT on The CW in a six-man ladder match.

The match was announced by NXT General Manager Ava last night as she was surrounded at ringside by the male talent who were waiting to hear what the plan is for the title.

The title was surrendered by Oba Femi last week after he successfully defended it against TNA’s Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil due to his call up to the main roster.

A series of number one contender matches will take place to determine who will be the six to advance in the ladder match.

The first two qualifying matches, Josh Briggs vs Shiloh Hill and Sean Legacy vs Eli Knight, will take place on next week’s episode.
