In a now-deleted post on X, Shotzi said that her current WWE deal runs until July, and only then she would be able to wrestle anywhere else.
“Just to clarify, I still have a good amount of time on my contract,” she originally posted. “But come July I will be full time balls to the walls!”
Shotzi was not technically released, but just informed that there would be no contract renewal for her when it expires. This worked out better for her since any released star on the main roster gets a 90-day no-compete clause and she would be free to wrestle anywhere in less time than that.
Those released still get paid for the 90 days – or 30 days in case of NXT – sitting at home, but they can’t work anywhere else in the meantime.
