Seth Rollins wins the Crown Jewel title after beating Cody Rhodes

On the fourth attempt at a victory over Cody Rhodes in a one-on-one encounter, Seth Rollins finally managed to do it at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, winning the Crown Jewel men’s championship in the process.

Flying solo without the aid of The Oracle Paul Heyman or the Brons, Rollins got the win after a big stomp from the second rope, but the win might have an asterisk as Rollins used the Rolex watch that Cody gifted him at WrestleMania XL to knock him out first.

Seth wanted to use the watch as a weapon earlier in the match but then decided against it. When Rhodes kept kicking out of everything, Rollins used it after a small ref bump.

Following the match, Rollins snatched the microphone from Cathy Kelley’s hand before she even uttered a word and said that with this win, he is no longer just the greatest of his generation, but he’s the greatest of all time.

Triple H presented the Crown Jewel title and the diamond ring as well and then Rollins posed with Stephanie Vaquer in the middle of the ring to end the broadcast.

Rhodes was the inaugural champion last year.
