Seth Rollins tries to cash in at Night of Champions but Cena takes out referee

Seth Rollins tried to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase yesterday at Night of Champions but champion John Cena had a plan: take out the referee.

The match had several interference including from Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Paul Heyman, Sami Zayn, and Penta.

With Rollins in the ring, Breakker and Reed took out CM Punk by smashing him through the announcers desk and Rollins signaled at the referee to come out. As Charles Robinson sprinted towards the ring, he was met with a clothesline from John Cena out of nowhere, stopping the cash in.

Breakker and Reed then attacked Cena and Penta came out for the save and then Zayn evened the odds.

Later, Cena almost had a change of heart and shook hands with Punk but Cena tried another low blow. Punk was ready for him and caught him and hoisted him up for a GTS, only for Seth Rollins to clock Punk with the briefcase. He then delivered a curb stomp and Cena then threw Rollins out. The referee slid in and hit the three count as Cena pinned Punk.

Rollins never managed to officially cash in the briefcase so he still has the opportunity to do it down the road.
