Scotty 2 Hotty joins WWE Performance Center as full-time coach

PWInsider.com is reporting that Scott Garland, better known to wrestling fans as Scotty 2 Hotty, has been hired as a full-time coach at the WWE Performance Center and will be training the up-and-coming WWE Superstars as well as helping out with NXT.

Garland had a 10-year career with the WWE starting in 1997 and his career took off when he teamed up with Brian Christopher to form the Too Cool tag team. A few years later, he teamed up with current WWE Performance Center head coach Matt “Albert” Bloom but their partnership only lasted nearly a year after Albert turned on his tag team partner.

After leaving WWE, Garland performed a couple of times for WWE during special episodes of Raw including the 15-year anniversary episode and one of the old school Raws. In 2014, Garland teamed up again with Brian Christopher, known as Grand Master Sexay, for a match on NXT Arrival against The Ascension.

During his time in WWE, he won the Light Heavyweight title once and the Tag Team title twice.

Just recently, he returned from a trip in the Middle East where he performed with other wrestlers for the troops as part of a tour by the Armed Forces Entertainment.
