San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria proclaimed November 29, the day of the Survivor Series, as Survivor Series Day in the city and also honored three WWE Superstars who have ties to the host city.

Mayor Gloria presented the Key to the City of San Diego to Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, new WWE Intercontinental champion Dominik Mysterio, and Nia Jax.

Some of the comments left under the post on X were not that friendly to the mayor, with one person saying that WWE is to wrestling as you are to mayorship…fake!

San Diego was the first city to host an outdoor Survivor Series in a stadium and over 46,000 fans showed up for the event, headlined by two WarGames matches.
