Samoa Joe suffers knee injury

PWInsider.com is reporting that Samoa Joe has suffered a knee injury during a non-televised live event on Saturday night and will be out of action for several weeks.

The injury occurred during his match against John Cena in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was scheduled to wrestle in Tupelo, Mississippi on Sunday and on Raw against Cena last night, but was not cleared not compete. The card was changed and Bray Wyatt ended up facing John Cena instead.

The former TNA champion interrupted the Cena/Reigns segment last week and then wrestled in the main event in a tag team match later in the night, first hooking the Kokina clutch on Cena and then moving just in time when Reigns delivered the Superman punch, hitting Cena instead.

WWE has not yet acknowledged the Joe injury.
