Samoa Joe advances to the MITB ladder match

Samoa Joe became the eighth and final person to grab a spot in the Money In The Bank ladder match after he successfully defeated Daniel Bryan and Big Cass last night on Smackdown.

Joe was supposed to go one-on-one against Bryan after last week Big Cass was taken out of his qualifying match against Bryan and replaced with Jeff Hardy. Cass was playing the leg injury angle throughout the second half of the European tour and was deemed unfit to wrestle Bryan. But Cass returned to interrupt the opening segment of the show and took out both Bryan and Joe with his crutch, changing the main event to a triple threat.

However, it was Daniel Bryan who lost the match after he passed out to Joe’s Coquina Clutch and after the match, Big Cass gave Bryan the big boot.

Joe now joins Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz, Rusev, Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens, and one member of The New Day in this year’s men’s MITB ladder match.
