Sami Zayn makes his WWE debut at non-televised live event

The man formerly known as El Generico made his WWE debut yesterday during the non-televised live event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It was a nice hometown welcome for the wrestler now known as Sami Zayn as fans greeted him with “Ole ole ole” chants when he was introduced.

The 29 year old has been signed to a WWE developmental deal since January of this year after several years working the independents. He’s down in NXT working under the name of Sami Zayn after debuting a few months before under his real name and under a mask.

Zayn defeated Antonio Cesaro yesterday during the show. You can see his entrance and the crowd reaction below courtesy of YouTube user  Jessica Aldos.
