RVD to take on Ambrose in the SummerSlam Kickoff match

Rob Van Dam won a battle royal on RAW yesterday and earning himself a shot at the United States title which is being held by The Shield member Dean Ambrose.

Van Dam was left in the ring with Ryback and Mark Henry as the final three and both RVD and Henry eliminated Ryback before the former WWE and ECW champion managed to get rid of Mark Henry to win the battle royal.

Van Dam will now wrestle Ambrose this coming Sunday at SummerSlam however the match will not be on pay-per-view but rather as the Kickoff match which will air for free on YouTube, WWE’s Facebook and other social media accounts.
