Rusev injured at Smackdown tapings

Former United States champion Rusev was apparently injured at last night’s Smackdown tapings during his match against Ryback.

Rusev was photographed at the airport sitting in a wheelchair provided by U.S. Airways holding crutches and his right leg in a protective cast.

The match against Ryback ended abruptly and WWE medical officials had to help Rusev to the back.

Rusev is scheduled to take part in the Intercontinental title Elimination Chamber match this Sunday on the WWE Network. It’s not known yet if this injury will effect his participation in the match.
