Ronda Rousey says she “failed” Shotzi during Survivor Series

Ronda Rousey said she feels like she “failed” Shotzi during their underwhelming match at the Survivor Series last month.

Discussing the match during a YouTube gaming stream, Rousey took the blame for the botched DDT and said she really wanted to showcase her ability and “make all her sh*t” look great and show everyone how great Shotzi is. Rousey said that one of the main reasons she returned for this run is to showcase new talent and show everyone how deserving people like Liv Morgan, Shotzi, Raquel Rodriguez, and others really are.

Rousey pointed out that she felt that after the botched DDT spot, they got the match back on track but the referee then let them know that they have to wrap it up quick.

“They’re basically like, ‘Plan B, get out of there. We’re out of time, you gotta go.’ And I’m like, ‘What!?’ And she was going up and I’m like…sorry girl and I had to run up and throw her down and throw her in the Piper’s armbar and get out of there because that’s what they were telling me on my mics because I guess the match before us went over by like six minutes and they were really concerned about going over,” Ronda said.

The Smackdown Women’s champion then said that next time she has to be on the receiving end of a DDT, she’s gonna take one better than “anyone on f*cking earth” and she’s going to spike her head, do a breakdance spin, and land face-first on the mat.

“Then, while I’m bleeding out on the ground, I’ll be like…’Are you not entertained!?’ And then they’re gonna be like, fired,” she joked.
