Ronda Rousey returns and wins the Royal Rumble

After an absence of nearly three years, Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE at the Royal Rumble and made a statement by winning the 30-woman over-the-top rope match.

The self-proclaimed “baddest woman on the planet” came out at #28 and got rid of five women in a short span of time, eliminating Charlotte Flair last to win the match. The final four also included Bianca Belair and Shayna Baszler.

Rumors started flying around yesterday that Ronda was back with the WWE for the rest of the year and heading into next year’s WrestleMania as well. She last appeared on WWE television at WrestleMania 35, losing the Raw Women’s title to Becky Lynch.

Since then, Ronda left and went on to have a family, giving birth to her baby daughter just four months ago.

Rousey is expected to be part of the Smackdown roster moving forward but will be on Monday Night Raw this coming Monday.
