Ronda Rousey has arrived, signs full-time WWE deal

After months of speculation, she has arrived.

The former UFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made her full-time WWE debut today at the Royal Rumble, interrupting the final segment before Asuka managed to choose which title she’s going for at WrestleMania.

Rousey entered the ring wearing a Roddy Piper jacket and a Rowdy t-shirt to the song Bad Reputation and pointed to the WrestleMania sign. She tried to shake hands with Asuka, but Asuka blew her off. Rousey once again pointed to the WrestleMania sign before going out of the ring and high-fives the fans. She eventually shook hands with Stephanie McMahon before heading to the back.

Ramona Shelburne, senior writer for ESPN.com wrote that the jacket was given to hear by Roddy Piper’s son. She also reported that Rousey has signed a full-time deal with the company.

Rousey flew to Colombia to film Mile 22 and was posting photos and videos from set. Earlier today, a make-up artist posted a photo with Rousey from Bogota so Rousey made the trip to Philly just hours before the pay-per-view started.

The former champ was beaming and smiling, looking genuinely happy to be in the ring. Wrestling fans were also happy to see her even though she did not participate in the Rumble as expected and Twitter blew up when she showed up. Even the UFC Twitter account had an “OMG” tweet to mark Rousey’s arrival in WWE.
