In a post on Instagram, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed that Roman Reigns will be playing the role of his brother in the upcoming Hobbs & Shaw movie which is part of the Fast & Furious franchise.
“I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film,” Johnson wrote in the post. “I’m also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin here in the islands as he takes life one day at a time to recover from leukemia.”
The Rock added that Reigns’ perseverance and humility battling this challenge has inspired the entire family as well as millions around the world and he can’t wait to see Reigns back in the ring.
The movie will be titled Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and will be released on August 2, 2019.
