Roman Reigns becomes the new undisputed WWE Universal champion at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns became the new undisputed WWE champion at WrestleMania after he beat Brock Lesnar in a winner-take-all unification match.

This was Reigns’ first win against Lesnar in three attempts at a WrestleMania and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

WWE is now referring to the title as the Undisputed WWE Universal championship and it remains to be seen if there will be a new title rather than Reigns having to carry two separate belts.

It will also be interesting to see how the lineage of the title will look and if it will be merged with the main WWE championship which has a history dating back to several decades.

This is the first time that WWE will have a single champion since the brand split was restarted in 2016.
