Roderick Strong signs with WWE, debuts in NXT

NXT just got stronger as Triple H yesterday publicly announced the signing of former ROH champion Roderick Strong to NXT. Triple H posted a photo of him shaking hands with a comment that reads, “When opportunity calls…answer the phone.”

The 33-year-old 16-year veteran has been on the independent circuit for most of his career, wrestling for ROH, PWG, Full Impact Pro, and even touring Japan. He wrestled for TNA briefly but lasted only around 7 months. He was suspended along with Austin Aries in February 2006 for arriving very late at a TNA pay-per-view and was released shortly after.

Strong’s debut in NXT will come on next week’s television episode.
