Ricky Saints wins the NXT title at No Mercy

Ricky Saints became the new NXT champion last night at No Mercy after he beat Oba Femi clean with a tornado DDT.

Saints was on the receiving end of Femi’s powerbomb finish but he kicked out and when Femi went for the second one, Saints turned it into a DDT. He then hit another tornado DDT for good measure, leaving Femi out, covering him for the pinfall victory.

This ends Femi’s impressive 263-day reign as champion. He won the title at the New Year’s Evil show on January 7 in Los Angeles from Trick Williams. Saints became the 26th different champion to hold the NXT title.

The former AEW TNT champion arrived in NXT in February 2025, winning the NXT North American title two months later, but only kept the title for a month before he lost it to Ethan Page.
