Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE champion Cody Rhodes was injured at the Elimination Chamber after he suffered the wrath of The Final Boss, John Cena, and Travis Scott.

Meltzer says that Rhodes has a busted eardrum and a black eye, injuries consistent with Travis Scott’s stiff right hand to the face.

During the post-show press conference, The Rock said that he advised Scott that if he wants to get his hands bloodied, he better make it count, and make it count he did.

“And I whispered to him as he was going out, ‘If you want to get your hands bloodied, make it count, make it count’…and he slapped the shit out of Cody. He slapped the shit outta Cody,” Rock told the press.

Rhodes will be appearing on Smackdown this Friday to address John Cena and what happened on Saturday night.
