Reigns vs Balor for Universal title set for next week’s Smackdown

The Universal title will be on the line on next week’s Friday Night Smackdown with Roman Reigns defending the title against Finn Balor.

Balor, who interrupted the Reigns and Usos family celebration segment in the main event of the show, said he was prepared to challenge Reigns at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view next month but with Lesnar back and Edge wanting another shot, he doesn’t want to wait as he trusts no one.

The former two-time NXT champion was supposed to take on Reigns before John Cena made his surprise return at Money In The Bank.

The segment obviously ended into one big brawl and The Street Profits came out to assist Balor in his fight against Reigns and The Usos. At that point, Reigns had not accepted the challenge yet but later on WWE.COM the match was made official.
