Randy Orton will be guest starring on USA Network’s upcoming new drama series Shooter which has its series premiere on Tuesday, July 19.

The series is led by Ryan Phillipe with Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura as executive producers. Phillipe plays an expert marksman living in exile who is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president.

Orton will play the role of James Richards, a former Navy SEAL and leader of a militia group who comes into contact with Phillipe’s character.

The former WWE champion has been out of action since September and has not appeared on WWE television since then due to a shoulder injury which required surgery. His return to the WWE ring is imminent.
