Penta wins the WWE Intercontinental title on Raw

Penta won his first gold in WWE last night on Raw after he beat Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental title, a few segments after Mysterio was “cursed” by Danhausen in a backstage segment.

Mysterio wanted the help of his fellow Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh at ringside and at one point during the closing moments of the match, Mysterio asked for the bell hammer at ringside. McDonagh wanted to help, but Balor told him that Mysterio needs to win on his own and they shouldn’t help him.

Penta then took care of both of them with a dive and followed with a Mexican Destroyer on Mysterio for the pinfall victory.

This ended Mysterio’s 93-day reign as champion, having won it from John Cena at Survivor Series.
