Pat McAfee: “The business doesn’t need to be saved after all”

“The business doesn’t need to be saved after all.”

That’s what Pat McAfee said after allegedly “finishing his story” at WrestleMania 42 Saturday. He had promised earlier that if Randy Orton doesn’t win the title against Cody Rhodes, he would leave the business forever.

Doing his daily Pat McAfee Show in a neck brace to sell the RKO he received on Saturday, McAfee noted that Cody Rhodes proved to be “the one.”

He said he went through NXT pre-shows, wrestled in NXT, moved to WWE, commentated, refereed, wrestled, managed…and was lucky to do it all.

“It’s been a hell of a run, thank you wrestling,” McAfee said.

He also admitted that me might have taken it a bit too far in trying to motivate Orton with the things he was saying, but nonetheless, enjoyed doing what he did at WrestleMania.

It was a tough day,” McAfee remarked.
