Pat McAfee returns on NXT to haunt The Undisputed Era

The NXT Tag Team titles ended up switching hands last night on NXT but it wasn’t The Undisputed Era who got the titles, but the team of Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch with an assist from the returning Pat McAfee.

During the show, both Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong were attacked backstage during separate segments although the attacker was never shown. Fish was laid out first so O’Reilly was going to replace him but then Strong was taken out too so the title match went to Lorcan and Burch instead.

During the title match which headlined the show, a masked man appeared and pushed Fandango off the top rope, enabling the challengers to quickly finish him off. When the match was over, the masked man revealed himself and it turned out to be Pat McAfee.

McAfee taunted The Undisputed Era with their signature pose afterward and the show faded to black with the assumption that McAfee took out the members of The Undisputed Era and maybe even was the one who attacked Adam Cole at Takeover 31.

The former NFL player wrestled Adam Cole in an awesome match at NXT Takeover: In Your House this past June but lost.
