Oba Femi regains the NXT title at Deadline

There’s a new ruler in town for NXT as the often-impressive Nigerian star regained the NXT title from Ricky Saints last night at Deadline.

Femi won the match after hitting a couple of powerbombs, ending Saints’ 70-day reign as champion.

This is Femi’s second run with the title, with his first one lasting 263 days after he won it at New Year’s Evil this past January. Femi lost the belt to Saints at the No Mercy premium live event at the end of September.

With this win, Femi has now secured his match against WWE champion Cody Rhodes on Saturday Night’s Main Event next weekend.
