The NXT Takeover: New York card continued to take shape with the North American title now on the line as well.

NXT General Manager William Regal announced last night on Twitter that champ Velveteen Dream will take on number one contender Matt Riddle.

This is the fifth and probably last match to be part of the main card.

The NXT Women’s title match was also confirmed last week with a big fatal four-way match involving Shayna Baszler defending her title against Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, and Io Shirai.

This year’s NXT Takeover will take place on Friday rather than Saturday and will stream live only on the WWE Network.
