NXT GM William Regal says it’s “time for a change”

At the end of last night’s Takeover, NXT General Manager William Regal said that it has been chaos lately in NXT and he thinks it is “time for a change,” ending the show on a cliffhanger.

Regal, who has been NXT GM for the past seven years, will be addressing the topic tomorrow night on the show.

In the post-show conference call with reporters, both Triple H and Shawn Michaels praised William Regal for his role in NXT.

Triple H said that Regal has been an integral part of NXT since day one and he will be part of the black and gold brand until the day he tells him he doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore.

He credited Regal as one of the biggest recruiting factors that they have as a company and is constantly coaching talent behind the scenes.

“He’s got a handle on just about everybody that’s out there and is one of the best eyes of somebody that’s maybe never done this before that steps in the ring,” Triple H said.

HBK also noted that it doesn’t matter if Regal is an on-air character or not, he’s a coach to the very end. “That’s who he is as a human being,” Michaels said.
