Number one contender for Bryan’s WWE title to be named tonight on Smackdown

The number one contender for the WWE title will be announced tonight on Smackdown Live where he will get a match at Fastlane. The winner of that match will go on to WrestleMania to defend the title at MetLife Stadium.

With WWE in full gear towards the road to WrestleMania, there’s no clear picture yet on who will be in this title match. Last Sunday at the Elimination Chamber, Kofi Kingston had one hell of a showing so it wouldn’t be surprising if he is named the number one contender. Kofi also got huge backing from the WWE fans who gave him a big standing ovation following the match.

The “new” Daniel Bryan also got himself out of a big hole and reinvented himself as an awesome heel WWE champion. After the big hype of his return last year, Bryan’s big-time status in WWE started diminishing until he turned heel in November.
