Nikkita Lyons injury forces change in the NXT Women’s Breakout tournament

Rising NXT star Nikkita Lyons dropped out of the NXT Women’s Breakout tournament after it was announced last night that she was out injured.

“Thank you all for the well wishes! Determined more than ever now. Everything happens for a reason. Much love & positive vibes,” Lyons tweeted after the announcement.

The 22-year-old was replaced by Tiffany Stratton in the semi final match and Stratton advanced to the finale after beating Fallon Henley. In the other semi final match, Roxanne Perez beat Lash Legend to advance and now the final will pit former ROH Women’s champion Perez against Stratton.

The winner of the tournament gets an NXT Women’s title match.
