Current WWE Divas champion Nikki Bella is suffering from a back injury and did not wrestle during the weekend live events.

Rumors have been going around for a few weeks that Nikki had an injured back but it was only now that she has addressed these rumors publicly in a post on Twitter.

Nikki – and her sister Brie – were nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the best female athlete category but the duo did not attend the show yesterday. Nikki said they wished they were at the show but she’s rehabbing her back while Brie was performing at a non-televised live event. She added that the two are “beyond honored” to be nominated.

Unfortunately for the Bellas they did not win the award in their category as the title went to the U.S. Women’s Soccer national team.
