Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that there are plans to have one of the main events of the Evolution pay-per-view featuring Ronda Rousey defending her title against Nikki Bella.

Nikki, along with her sister Brie, were ringside at SummerSlam last night and celebrated with the new champion after the match was over. Their presence during the match and the aftermath drew some eyebrows since they had nothing to do with the build-up at all unlike Natalya who was also there. The fans even booed the twins when they went in the ring to hug Rousey.

But this was apparently the first step in reintroducing Nikki back on TV and there’s a long build-up ahead for Evolution which is just over two months away.

Both Nikki and Brie were last seen at WrestleMania sitting at ringside for Daniel Bryan’s return. The two returned to the ring at the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble in January.
