New Orleans rumored to be front-runner to host WrestleMania 42

There are heavy rumors that next year’s WrestleMania will be taking place from New Orleans, Louisiana again, the site of this year’s NFL SuperBowl.

Industry insiders suggest that NOLA is the front-runner to host its third WrestleMania, following two very, very successful WrestleManias in 2014 and 2018.

In 2014, WrestleMania XXX took place in front of a reported 75,167 crowd and saw Daniel Bryan win the WWE Championship with the Yes! Movement in full throttle. Four years later, WrestleMania 34 was attended by a reported 78,133 fans and saw Brock Lesnar retain the WWE title against Roman Reigns in the main event.

On both occasions, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome was the host of WrestleMania, and if next year the show goes back to New Orleans, the Superdome becomes only the second location ever along with Madison Square Garden to host WrestleMania on three different occasions.

A WrestleMania Kick Off press conference is rumored to be taking place next month from The Big Easy.
