New champions crowned at WrestleMania XL night one

Three new champions were crowned at WrestleMania XL night one, with the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles once again split and a long streak was broken with a new Intercontinental champion.

A-Town Down Under, the team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, won the Smackdown Tag Team titles in the six-pack ladder match. While they did go for the other set of titles too, it was R-Truth who finally climbed the ladder to get the Raw Tag Team titles, getting the win with his partner The Miz.

This means that Judgment Day are no longer champs and each brand gets their respective titles again.

The other title change came when Sami Zayn finally managed to defeat Gunther, who got pinned for the first time on the main roster. Gunther’s record-breaking Intercontinental title run ended with 666 days.
