Naomi cashes in, wins the WWE Women’s World title at Evolution

Proceed with caution, because there’s a new WWE Women’s World champion in town!

Naomi successfully cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase yesterday during the main event of Evolution, turning the Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley match into a triple threat.

With both champion and challenger down following a Spanish Fly, Naomi entered the arena and the announcement was made that she was cashing in. She first hit Sky with the briefcase and disposed of Ripley from the ring. Naomi then performed her split-leg moonsault finisher on Sky and pinned her for the title change.

Naomi had just been defeated by Jade Cargill in a no holds barred match earlier in the broadcast, but had the same outcome as Seth Rollins when he cashed in his first MITB briefcase at WrestleMania 31, losing to Randy Orton first and then winning the title at the end of the night.

Sky’s reign lasted 133 days and this is Naomi first singles title in WWE since 2017 when she held the Smackdown Women’s title.
