More details of WWE’s deal with Twitch

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast revealed that WWE negotiated a very good deal for its talent to resume streaming on Twitch.

Zarian reports that the talent will get a larger cut from advertising than other creators on Twitch, a nice change of heart after the total ban on third-party apps in late 2020.

The revenue will be split between Twitch, WWE, and the talent, with Twitch getting the largest share of the money. What’s interesting is that WWE’s cut will be deducted from Twitch’s share and not from the talent’s share, giving the WWE Superstars who will get back into streaming 100% of what they are owed.

Zelina Vega, who was fired from WWE in 2020 for breach of contract for disobeying orders and continuing streaming while the ban was on, was the first one to publicly announce that she is resuming her side gig on Twitch soon.
