A Cook County Sheriff’s officer who worked as a security guard during a Raw episode in July 2026 is suing WWE, Montez Ford, and Event Services, LLC, alleging assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of both the Illinois Gender Violence Act and the Illinois Right of Publicity Act.
The incident took place on Monday, July 9 at the Allstate Arena when the officer, Noel Lucas, was sitting at ringside doing his job and was confronted by Ford and his tag team partner Angelo Dawkins who came through the crowd. Lucas remained seated and Ford decided to dance provocatively in front of him for quite a while, with cameras getting the whole incident during the live broadcast.
Lucas is now saying that members of the public who recognize him through videos which continue to circulate online mock him and dance in front of him, imitating sexual movements, the same way Ford did. He also said that his kids were mocked at school following the incident.
A hearing is set for December 10 and Lucas and his legal team are asking for an award of monetary damages and punitive damages as well as cost of legal fees.
