MGM to team up with WWE for American Gladiators reboot

Deadline.com is reporting in an exclusive story that MGM is teaming up with WWE to resurrect the American Gladiators series which will feature several WWE Superstars.

Mark Burnett, who heads up Survivor, is currently pitching the rebooted series to broadcasters and platforms. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan hosted the rebooted series on NBC in 2008 with Laila Ali. The original series ran between 1989 and 1996 and the series was so popular that it had 12 international adaptations airing in 95 different countries.

Deadline adds that MGM and WWE will serve as executive producers on the project.
