Matt Riddle released from WWE

Matt Riddle has been released from WWE, just weeks after he claimed that he was sexually assaulted by a Port Authority police officer at JFK Airport in New York.

As always, there are two sides to every story and sources told TMZ at the time that Riddle was drunk coming off his flight and he and several other eye witnesses were interviewed but not detained.

“Just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE,” Riddle wrote on X. “Thank you for the memories and opportunities also thank you to all the fans for the support and love you give me every time I go out to the ring. See you all soon.”

Riddle was super popular with the fans but had a rocky few years in the company ever since he joined in 2018. He also failed two drug tests and sent to rehab last year.
