Mark Henry “hurt and offended” by Hogan’s remarks

In a post on Twitter, former champion Mark Henry said that he was being “hounded” by media today to share his thoughts and experiences with Hulk Hogan. He said he preferred not to be dragged into it but feels the responsibility to at least make some sort of a statement.

Henry said that there was history of racial slurs and prejudices in the WWE and he will not speak on what had happened in the past but he wants to let everybody know that he does not condone any racist behavior or speech in any manner.

“I’m disappointed in the comments made by Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan). I’ve known Terry a long time as both a work colleague and as someone I consider a friend,” Henry wrote. “I’m hurt and offended that he expressed his feelings in the matter and tone that was presented on the tape.”

Henry applauded WWE for taking “swift action in response to his comments” and said he supports the position the company took in this matter.
