London mayor wants WrestleMania in London if re-elected, Triple H responds

London mayor Sadiq Khan has vowed to work to bring WrestleMania to London if he is re-elected in next week’s elections.

“London is already the sporting capital of the world. If I’m re-elected next Thursday – we’ll go even further,” Khan wrote in a message on X. “We’ll look to bring WrestleMania, Superbowl and the NBA to London, and put together another bid for the 2040 Olympics.”

WrestleMania in London, although far fetched, has already been brought up by John Cena last year when he appeared unannounced at the Money in the Bank premium live event held at the O2 Arena in the English capital and the fans went absolutely bonkers.

But another Khan, WWE President Nick Khan, stated last week that all the big five PLEs will be held in the United States and Canada moving forward, pouring cold water on the idea.

Khan, the mayor, said that he believes London has the potential to host the first international WrestleMania and will be setting up a Taskforce to attract more US sports if he’s re-elected.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H noted the tweet from Khan and reposted it, adding, “Let’s talk.”
