Lana out of the TLC pay-per-view after injury angle

The TLC pay-per-view had a slight change in its card after Lana has been ruled out of the WWE Women’s Tag Team title match, leaving Asuka without a partner for now.

After defeating Nia Jax on Raw yesterday, Baszler attacked Asuka backstage and Jax then beat up Lana in the ring. Baszler then joined her tag team partner in the ring and the two worked on her before Asuka managed to run out and save the day.

Lana had been on the receiving end of nine consecutive table spots over the past few months at the hands of Jax and got her revenge on her yesterday with an unlikely win. But the celebrations were cut short and while Lana has won the battle, it seems that Jax and Baszler won the war, at least for now.

WWE then announced that Lana was taken to hospital and due to her injuries would not be competing at the TLC pay-per-view. Asuka will now have to find another partner to take on Baszler and Jax this Sunday.
