A new United States champion was crowned last night on Smackdown as LA Knight regained the title from champion Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of the show.

Knight won the match after hitting his BFT finisher, this time with a chair as the landing for Nakamura, who did not kick out of the pinfall.

There was not much time for celebration on air though as the broadcast quickly faded to black after Knight was handed the title and he posed with it on the turnbuckles as pyro fired from the background.

This is Knight’s second run with the United States title. He originally won it at SummerSlam from Logan Paul but lost it to the new-look Nakamura at the Survivor Series.
