Kofi Kingston and Shayna Baszler advance in King and Queen of the Ring tournaments

Two King and Queen of the Ring first round matches took place at the WWE SuperShow non-televised live event in Macon, Georgia yesterday.

Kofi Kingston defeated Rey Mysterio to wrap up the men’s first round while Shayna Baszler defeated Maxxine Dupri in the other match. Dupri was a late addition and replaced the injured Zelina Vega.

These final two matches now completed the first round of both tournaments and quarter final matches will resume tonight on Monday Night Raw.

The eight men who will participate in the quarter finals are Jey Uso, Gunther, Ilja Dragunov, Kofi Kingston, Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, Randy Orton, and Tama Tonga.

The eight women are Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax, Lyra Valkyria, Iyo Sky, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler.
