Kenta has arrived at NXT and made his debut last night at Takeover on the WWE Network.

Kenta was introduced by William Regal and talked in Japanese to the fans following him live in Japan on television. He then switched to English and announced that from that moment on he would be known as Hideo Itami in honor of one of his heroes.

The Japanese star was then interrupted by The Ascension and they threw him out of the ring. But the man now formerly known as Kenta came back and disposed of the former NXT tag team champions.

It was also announced during the live NXT special that Itami will be making his in-ring NXT debut next week.
