Kairi Sane says goodbye to WWE fans

Kairi Sane has wrapped up her time in WWE and is now returning to Japan to be reunited with her husband. Her appearance on Raw last night where she was attacked by Bayley backstage was the last one for WWE.

Addressing fans on Twitter after Raw went off the air, Sane said that her time in NXT and WWE was incredible. “Everyone was kind, funny, & talented, so every day was full of happiness. Also, I was saved by the supportive staff behind the scenes,” Sane wrote.

She added that she will forever love and respect all the professionals she had the pleasure of working with and accomplished so much in the last three years. “It wasn’t because of my ability or my strength. It was because of all of the constant, warm support from the fans. I am so thankful I could meet you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Kairi concluded.

Sane joined WWE in 2017, winning the Mae Young Classic tournament and then went on to NXT to become the Women’s champion before joining the main roster. On the main roster, Sane found success tag teaming with Asuka where she won the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles twice.

Several fellow WWE Superstars have paid tribute to Sane and thanked her in Twitter messages.

Kairi Sane got married in Japan earlier this year where her husband still lives. She will now return to her homeland to start a proper family. There were talks that Sane would still be somewhat involved with WWE if the company opens its NXT Japan branch down the road.
