Jon Jones at SummerSlam? He thought about it…

When Jon Jones was asked on Twitter if he will be showing up at ringside at SummerSlam next week, the new UFC Light Heavyweight champion said he thought about the idea already.

“It’s crossed my mind,” Jones replied, as he continues to go after the current WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar for a fight in the UFC.

The two have been trading some words over the past several weeks and industry insiders think it’s just a matter of when, not if, the fight will take place.

Lesnar is still technically retired from the UFC and has to write an official declaration that he’s un-retiring and then enter the USADA drug testing pool, which now has a minimum of six months testing period. During those six months, Lesnar can continue the remaining six months ban that he has for failing two drug tests leading up to UFC 200 last year.

Only after that Lesnar can plan on fighting in the UFC again. The UFC, on their part, are denying that Lesnar is coming back.

The champ has a WWE deal that runs through WrestleMania 34.
