John Cena to be off WWE’s schedule until December 26

Former United States champion John Cena is expected to be out of WWE for the next two months and while details of his departure are still officially unknown, rumors are that he will be filming a new fitness show for broadcast television.

Cena is not advertised to appear on tonight’s Raw and is not listed for any other show – televised or house show – until the day after Christmas for a non-televised live event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Cena will be missing the Survivor Series, TLC, and the Tribute to the Troops tapings as well.

The last time John Cena took an extended time off was in August 2013 when he had to undergo surgery for a triceps tear. He was out from August 20 until October 27, coincidentally enough returning at that year’s Hell In A Cell to defeat Alberto Del Rio to win the World Heavyweight title.
