John Cena says Brock Lesnar has a “long, hard road” ahead of him

Former WWE champion John Cena was on ESPN SportsCenter’s weekly WWE segment last night hosted by Jonathan Coachman and was asked about the recent news of Brock Lesnar testing positive for his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt.

Cena said that Lesnar has a “long, hard road ahead of him” after disappointing a lot of people and the same people will be seeing Brock Lesnar differently now. He added that he rooted for Lesnar and was the underdog in the fight and ended up doing well. “Anytime something like that comes out, it certainly affects your perception of the event,” Cena said.

John Cena also discussed NXT and the brand extension, saying they never had a roster like this before. “These guys keep me young,” Cena said of the NXT Superstars who provide the competition. He also talked about his upcoming Battleground match, teaming up with Enzo and Big Cass and had nice words about the tag team who would be accompanying him to the ring.
