John Cena announced for September 1 Smackdown and India WWE event

John Cena is returning to WWE for two dates next month, his first appearance since the Money In The Bank premium live event in London, England, this past June.

The 16-time world champion will be appearing on the September 1 episode of Friday Night Smackdown and will then travel to Hyderabad, India to be part of the WWE Superstar Spectacle special on September 8.

Cena did announce in a post on X that he will be wrestling in India for the first time ever. His surprise appearance at Money In The Bank was a plea to bring WrestleMania to London, a suggestion which definitely brought up the decibels inside the O2 Arena.
